RGB Pixels are digitally-controllable lights you can set to any color, or animate. Each round ‘pixel cluster’ contains 3 RGB LEDs and a controller chip soldered to a PCB. The pixel is then encased in a translucent white ‘dot’ to make it waterproof. These are fairly large pixels but they are easy to mount, with two plastic flanges. They’re typically used to make outdoor signs. Compared to our other LED dots, these are much bigger and much brighter, good for larger-scale installations.
The pixels are connected by a 3-conductor cable. +12VDC, ground, data. Data is shifted down from one pixel to the next so that you can easily cut the strand or attach more onto the end.
The pixels use 3 x 5050 RGB LEDs, and the dot has a full 180-degree color spread due to the translucent nature. All of the LEDs are controlled at once so you cannot have one pixel with the three LEDs in different colors. (Color control is per single dot 3-LED pixel only) The total max brightness of all LEDs is about 4000mcd. (Please note: MCD ratings of LEDs are notoriously inflated by most LED sellers, so be extra-skeptical when reviewing LED ratings!)
Sold by the strand, each strand has 20 pixels in series! Each strand has two JST SM 3-pin connectors so you can connect multiple strands in a row, as many as you wish, just watch for how much current they want. The two power wires are brought out separately to make wiring easier, a 2.1mm terminal block adapter is handy here to attach a DC power supply. We have a 12V/5A supply that should be able to drive 2 or more strands (depending on current use).

The pixels use 3 x 5050 RGB LEDs, and the dot has a full 180-degree color spread. Each strand has two JST SM 3-pin connectors so you can connect multiple strands in a row. The LEDs are constant-current driven so you’ll have even colors through-out the strand as long as you have a stable 12V supply. Each dot is digitally controlled, The pixels must be clocked by a microcontroller like an Arduino or Teensy.
The led RGB WS2811 is 3 output channels special for LED driver circuits. It internally includes an intelligent digital port data latch and signal reshaping amplification drive circuit. Also, include a precision internal oscillator and a 12V voltage programmable constant current output drive. For the purpose of reducing the power supply ripple, the 3 output channels are designed to delay the turn-on function. IC use a single NZR communication mode. After the chip power-on reset, the DIN port receives data from the controller, the first IC collects initial 24bit data then sent to the internal data latch, the other data which reshaping by the internal signal reshaping amplification circuit sent to the next cascade IC through the DO port. After transmission for each chip, the signal is reduced by 24bit. IC adopts auto reshaping transmit technology, making the chip cascade number is not limited to the signal transmission, only depending on the speed of signal transmission. The data latch of IC depends on the received 24bit data and produces different duty ratio signals at OUTR, OUTG, OUTB port. All chips synchronously send the received data to each segment when the DIN port input a reset signal. It will receive new data again After the reset signal finishes. Before a new reset signal received, the control signal of OUTR , OUTG, OUTB port unchanged. IC sent PWM data that received justly to OUTR, OUTG, OUTB port, after receiving a low voltage reset signal the time retained over 50us. We offer two packages SOP8 and DIP8.
